EPUB for e-readers

Reflows to any screen and font size. This is the one you want for Kindle, Kobo, Tolino, phones and tablets.

PDF for print & desktop

Fixed 6×9 pages, exactly as designed. Best on a computer or for printing — a little cramped on small screens.

📖 Amazon Kindle

Easiest wirelessly with Send to Kindle; Kindle now reads EPUB and converts it for you.

  1. Open amazon.com/sendtokindle (or the Send to Kindle app), sign in, and drag in the EPUB.
  2. Pick your device and send — it arrives over Wi-Fi in a minute or two.
  3. Prefer email? Send the file as an attachment to your personal @kindle.com address (find it under Kindle settings). Add the sender to your approved list first.
  4. By cable: plug the Kindle in via USB and copy the file into the documents folder.

The EPUB reflows nicely on Kindle. The PDF works too, but text is tiny on smaller Kindles — use the EPUB there.

🌊 Kobo

Kobo loves EPUB — it just works, no conversion.

  1. Connect the Kobo to your computer with the USB cable and unlock it so it mounts as a drive.
  2. Copy Leapfrog.epub into the Kobo drive (the main folder is fine).
  3. Eject safely. The book appears in your Library the next time it syncs.

On mobile, you can also open the EPUB in the Kobo Books app via “Import.”

📗 Tolino

Popular across Germany and Europe — native EPUB support.

  1. Connect the Tolino via USB; it shows up as a drive.
  2. Drop Leapfrog.epub into the Books folder.
  3. Disconnect — it’s on your shelf under My books.

🍎 Apple Books (iPhone / iPad / Mac)

No cable needed — the EPUB opens straight into your library.

  1. Download the EPUB on your device (tap Download EPUB above).
  2. Tap the file → ShareBooks (or “Open in Books”). On a Mac, just double-click it.
  3. It syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud automatically.

AirDrop works too: send the EPUB from a Mac to your iPhone and choose Books.

🤖 Android phones & tablets

Any EPUB reader app works; here are two common ones.

  1. Google Play Books: open the app → Library → the + (Upload files) → pick Leapfrog.epub. It syncs to all your devices.
  2. Moon+ Reader, Librera, or similar: download the EPUB, then open it from your Downloads folder — the reader adds it to your shelf.

💡 Any other e-reader

The rule of thumb for every device.

  1. Almost every modern e-reader reads EPUB — download it, then either copy it over USB or open it in the device’s reading app.
  2. Stuck with a reader that only takes PDF? Use the PDF — and set the reader to landscape or a smaller margin for comfort.
